Platinum Jubilee Emblem

This year marks the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To celebrate this remarkable achievement of 70 years reign, the Parish Council is organising a family community event on the QEII Playing Field. Free admission.

BBQ, Beer tent, ice creams available. In the village hall, there will be celebration cake, coffees & teas.

Bring along deck chairs, rugs and a picnic.

How to make a hobby horse

Hobby Horse Races

As horse racing is a favourite pastime of the Queen, we are going to have our own hobby horse races on the field from 4pm – 6pm.

The races planned are

1. All the Queen's Horses Flat Race
2. Glorious Tribute Steeplechase
3. Phantom Gold Dressage
4. Look Behind You Pantomime Horse Race

Each race will be run several times to accommodate different age ranges- i.e. preschool children, primary school children, secondary school students, adults etc.
