Chair, Little Paxton Gardening Club

Welcome to Little Paxton Gardening Club

My name is Jane Hill and I am the Chair of Little Paxton Gardening Club.

We are an established, friendly village club for people who share an interest in all types of gardening and related subjects. We hold regular meetings with talks from visiting speakers on a wide range of topics, organise visits, practical demonstrations, social events, occasional competitions and plant sales. Refreshments are served at indoor meetings.

You do not need to be an experienced or knowledgeable gardener to join us but enthusiasm helps! Membership is open to all, see below for details – you do not even need to live in the village.

Our meetings are informative, sociable and enjoyable. Guest speakers often have the added bonus of specialist plant sales with the opportunity to buy direct from the grower. A new occassional feature, which proved popular with members, is the plant exchange table at indoor meetings – bring along a surplus plant and take away something new to try. All donated by our generous members.

Why not pay us a visit?

Visitors are always welcome at our meetings - £2 per meeting (including refreshments) - payable at the door. Details for our next events until the end of May are given in the following posters. During the summer the club will be making visits to local gardens and plant collections. Further details are available from the contacts below.

In addition to regular club meetings we are holding a plant sale in May jointly with the Friends of Paxton Pits where you are sure to find some interesting good buys for your garden. Do come along. All the funds raised will help both community organisations. Full information is on the poster below.

If you would like to join the club please get in touch - contact details follow.

I look forward to welcoming you to a club meeting soon.
