'Little Paxton Pictures' has arrived at St James' Church – a new community cinema project, kindly supported by Little Paxton Parish Council.

Showing the 'The Greatest Showman' (PG)starring Hugh Jackman

Sing along with this joyously uplifting film.

Doors open at 3.45pm with a 4pm start. Refreshments will be provided including popcorn and ice cream.

Admission free

All donations are welcome.

St James Church welcomes Cambridge Symphonic Winds under the conductor of Anne Templer.The programme will be from the repertoire of larger-scale chamber music for wind instruments:

  • Gordon Jacob, Old Wine in New Bottles
  • Andre Caplet, Suite Persane
  • Mozart, Gran Partita
Cambridge Symphonic Winds will give a performance of diverse and exciting works for chamber wind ensemble.Founded in 2008, Cambridge Symphonic Winds is one of the area's most exciting and distinctive ensembles.A symphonic wind orchestra brings together the vibrant and diverse sounds of over forty different woodwind, brass and percussion instruments to fantastic effect.The group aim to stage first class concerts featuring the very best works for this kind of ensemble, creating a unique musical experience for listeners from Cambridge and beyond.Tickets are £8 each (children free) and are available to reserve in advance through Nicci on admin@thepaxtonsbenefice.org or purchase on the door. Refreshments of tea and cake will also be available. Promises to be an enjoyable afternoon!

We are looking to run a family Film afternoon during the school half term break on the Tuesday 19 February 2019.

Doors open at 1.45pm and refreshments will be provided.

FREE ADMISSION

Hot drinks, popcorn, ice cream and assorted refreshments available. All donations are welcome.
