Little  Paxton Remembers Poppy Sculpture

A poppy sculpture was 'unveiled' this morning on the grass verge near the High Street entrance of St James Church.

The metal sculpture depicts six poppies which represent the six Little Paxton residents who gave their lives in World War 1, together with a Tommy's helmet, bayonet and cross. Poppies started growing in no man's land at Flanders during World War I.

Recruiting for an additional Part time Groundsperson

Little Paxton Parish Council is recruiting an additional part time groundsperson working 20 hours per month on a twelve month fixed contract.

The role will involve grass cutting and general maintenance of the QEII Playing field, Childrens play parks, Allotments, St. James Churchyard, Little Paxton Lawn Cemetery and helping at Paxfest 2019.

Striving to make Little Paxton a better place to live, work and play

Earlier in the year, residents completed a survey questionnaire about all aspects of the village.

The survey was used as the basis to create the Community Led Plan which was adopted by the Parish Council on 6th September 2018.

The Parish Council has now formed a working party to progress the actions raised in the Plan.

Community Groups Showcase event

Community Groups Showcase event

Little Paxton Parish Council is organising a community event to promote interest in existing village groups/organisations and to help create new village interest groups.

The free event will take place on Saturday 15th September 2pm - 4pm in Little Paxton Village Hall. Refreshments will be available.

Many village clubs and organisations will have a table in the hall to promote their group activity.

IWA Festival of Water

IWA Festival of Water

Little Paxton Parish Council will be having a stall at the Festival of Water tomorrow ( Sat 25th Aug) at Regatta Meadow in St.Neots.

We will be promoting all things Little Paxton and will be giving away free sticks of rock.

The event is open from 10am -6pm. We are pitch 35- come along and say' hello'.

Summer Holiday Children's Activities

Free children's activities on the QEII PLaying field tomorrow (Wed) from 10am - 12 noon.

The sessions are run by HDC's Active Lifestyles team.

Lots of games- badminton/tennis, football plus wide games.

No need to book - just come along. Bring a water bottle. The Community Pavilion will be open for toilet access.
