Coronavirus Advice (COVID-19)
Please do not book an appointment or attend the practice if you have symptoms associated with coronavirus, including a new continuous cough or a high temperature.
You are advised to stay at home for 7 days.
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct, if you cannot go online, or are advised to do so by the online service.
For the latest Covid-19 advice please visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.
From Monday 23 March 2020, all requests for an appointment with the Doctor, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant will be a telephone call first. We will assess your symptoms, provide guidance and support and advise if you need to be seen. If we need to see you, we will make the arrangements with you.
Please do not attend the practice unless you are asked to.
We are contacting ALL patients with pre-booked routine appointments to talk to them about the next steps so please wait for us to contact you.
Little Paxton – temporarily closed.
From Monday 23 March 2020, our Little Paxton Surgery site will temporarily close. One weekly clinic will remain for patients who cannot get to Buckden but ALL other services will be provided from Buckden. We will collect post and prescription request slips on a daily basis.
Please continue to order your repeat prescription online on by telephone between 10:00 and 12:30pm. Please place any paper requests in the POST BOX outside. Please DO NOT enter the practice to deliver your repeat slip. We will not be issuing prescriptions early or in extra quantities. Please DO NOT over-order to help maintain supplies for everybody.
Please do not collect your medication from the dispensary if you have a cough and/or fever. Please ask somebody to collect on your behalf who does not have symptoms. The dispensary at Buckden will be open for collections between 08:00am and 10:00am and between 16:00pm and 17:30pm only (except Thursday afternoons and closing at 17:00pm on Fridays). The delivery service will be suspended except in exceptional circumstances.
Our telephone lines will be busier than usual. Please bear with us as we answer each call as quickly as we can.
