Huntingdonshire District Council Active Lifestyles Team are organising the children's activities to be held on the QEII Playing Field Little Paxton on Wednesday 29th July.
There will be a limit on numbers of children attending to meet current COVID 19 restrictions.
Instead of a 2 hour slot as previously advertised, there will be 2 x 1 hour sessions ( 2pm - 3pm or 3.15pm - 4.15pm).

As many of you are aware the Little Paxton Community Pavilion has a fundamental issue which has caused damp, wet rot and dry rot. This will mean a damp membrane and concrete will need to be added.Also all the wood (floors and joists) and walls will need to be replaced.The Pavilion is closed and the project is well under way and we have started to remove all the wood and floor from the Pavilion, however... On Tuesday the Multi Use Games Area on the QEII Playing Field was cordoned off and closed as instructed by the Prime Minister.
Yesterday evening, the cordons were broken and an adult and two children were seen playing football.
We are ALL frustrated at the moment, tensions/emotions are high - however we DO NOT want coronavirus in Little Paxton.

The Connections Youth Bus will be in the village every Thursday during the school holidays starting 25th July 7pm - 9pm in the Little Paxton Village Hall Car Park.
Who can hop on the bus? - anyone going into Year 7 or above.
The Bus has internet access, Xbox 360, karaoke,music, tuck shop, information, advice, crafts and lots more...
Two youth workers are always on board. Free admission.

Little Paxton Parish Council is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.
Please vote for our project to create a more accessible area to store sports equipment including football goals, cricket equipment and netball goals for the community.

The areas the Parish Council will grit as a part of the Winter Gritting Programme are:
1. Entrance from the QEII Playing Field from the High Street to the Doctors Surgery. This includes the footpath along side the children's play park.
2. The Rookery Steps & Ramp.
3. Footpath through St James Churchyard.

Little Paxton Parish Council is organising a community event to promote interest in existing village groups/organisations and to help create new village interest groups.
The free event will take place on Saturday 15th September 2pm - 4pm in Little Paxton Village Hall. Refreshments will be available.
Many village clubs and organisations will have a table in the hall to promote their group activity.

Free children's activities on the QEII PLaying field tomorrow (Wed) from 10am - 12 noon.
The sessions are run by HDC's Active Lifestyles team.
Lots of games- badminton/tennis, football plus wide games.
No need to book - just come along. Bring a water bottle. The Community Pavilion will be open for toilet access.
